Veterinary Technician

Position Overview Animal Hospital of Rye is hiring a Veterinary Technician. This is a full‑time position with Monday‑Friday schedule. Salary is negotiated based on experience and licensure, and LVT/CVT credentials are preferred. The hospital is a high‑quality referral practice that values advanced medicine, teamwork, and professional growth. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures. Provide surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring. Maintain anesthetized patients and monitor recovery. Perform laboratory testing, pharmacy duties, and radiology support. Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation. Support hospitalized patient care and treatment plans. Deliver exceptional client communication and education. Collaborate with the veterinary team to support efficient hospital workflow. Qualifications Experience with surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, pharmacy duties, and radiology. Strong technical and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Compassionate and caring attitude toward patients, clients, and coworkers. Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning and growing. LVT or CVT credentials preferred; newly trained technicians with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
