Senior Clinical Lab Technologist - Hematology

Position Summary Position performs routine and complex assays on blood and body fluids. Schedule 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Performs routine and complex assays according to laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments and equipment. Reviews assay data, resolves routine problems without supervisory assistance, and participates in complex problem resolution. Serves as a resource to medical technologists and laboratory assistants, and trains new employees. Assists with the development and validation of new assays, updates and the development of procedure manuals, and utilizes database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs. Complies with all regulatory and client requirements for testing and documentation. Demonstrates a general understanding of assay methods and clinical relevance, and participates in relevant continuing education. Assists supervisor with other duties and special projects as needed. Qualifications Education: Associate degree or combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum education.
