Senior Mechanical Engineering Supervisor

Senior Mechanical Engineering Supervisor Location: Round Rock, TX (onsite). Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 annually, plus bonus. (General guideline.) Responsibilities Lead, manage and direct a subgroup of Engineers and Technicians focusing on products for Nuclear/Aerospace/Industrial markets. Build high‑performance teams, continually improve engineering processes and deliver high‑quality safety‑related instrumentation on time and under budget. Meet revenue, profit, cash, and order goals; execute customer funded development projects; collaborate with other managers to define and streamline engineering processes. Identify risks and opportunities, communicate status, empower team, proactively solve problems across departments, promote safe work environment. Collaborate with Project Management to assign engineering resources to projects and orders. Understand, execute, manage, and improve engineering processes: analog/digital electrical design, mechanical design, manufacturing automation, materials science, fiber optic communications, CAD, quality systems, task estimation, root cause analysis, PDM/PLM, ERP, non‑conformances, corrective actions, investigations, audits. Lead bid opportunities, produce engineering solutions and associated effort; work with Sales to produce cost‑effective proposals. Provide training, remove impediments, create compelling environment, align personnel goals with business goals, conduct meaningful annual performance reviews. Encourage dialogue and cooperation across organization; communicate status, opportunities, risks to Director of Engineering and Project Management. Continuously improve quality and workmanship of designs and services; own onboarding, performance management and career development of team; lead by example. Other duties as required. Qualifications B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electronics); M.S. preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) Certification highly desired. Minimum 8 years of experience designing and manufacturing products. Experience leading and managing teams in a cross‑functional environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and data analysis. Experience performing multiple concurrent tasks, root‑cause analysis and functional problem resolution. Strong oral and written communication skills, drive, energy, and problem‑solving abilities. Commitment to continuous improvement philosophy. ASME Certification preferred; Six Sigma and Lean certifications preferred.
