CNC Mold Build and Repair Specialist

Location: Omaha, NE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (8–9 hour shifts) | Occasional Saturday Overtime

Do you thrive on complex, one-off tooling challenges? Can you read a print, visualize the build, program the toolpaths, and deliver a mold component that drops into assembly and runs to spec? If yes, you’ll feel at home building custom solutions for custom-engineered products —not repetitive work.

What you’ll tackle

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills to machine precision parts for injection molds, stamping dies, and custom components.
• Build, repair, modify, and maintain injection molds from start to finish.
• Assemble tooling and verify that every dimension and tolerance is on target.
• Diagnose issues, fine-tune processes, and create setup sheets for repeatability.
• Work hand-in-hand with Engineering, Design, QA, Purchasing, and Production to keep projects on track.
• Promote safety: maintain an organized work area and follow lockout/tagout and hazard communication procedures.

What you already know

• Toolmaker/Mold Maker experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2–4+ years building, repairing, and maintaining injection molds.
• Confident CNC mill programmer with strong setup and operation skills.
• Blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation.
• Holding tight tolerances and solving machining problems under pressure.
• Using a range of machining processes and tooling equipment.

• Surface and cylindrical grinding
• Manual and CNC lathe work
• Production machining; steel stamping dies
• Tool steels and plastics
• Metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, depth mics, optical comparators

Technical edge

• Deep understanding of CNC machining and toolroom workflows.
• Independent setup development and fixture planning.
• Mechanical aptitude for maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Advanced math skills and a quality-first mindset.
• Extreme attention to detail in high-precision builds.

Physical realities

• On your feet—standing and walking—for extended periods.
• Regular bending, twisting, lifting, and moving tooling/materials.
• Safe operation of equipment and consistent use of PPE.
