Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventative maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and assists in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders as assigned.Install, assemble, and test new equipment or replacement parts.Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.Maintain tools, maintenance areas, and spare parts inventory in an organized manner.Collaborate with production and leadership teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.Assist with general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and building repairs as needed.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Ability to work overtime or flexible hours as needed.Preferred QualificationsTechnical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field.Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automated equipment.Welding and fabrication experience.Forklift and scissor lift certification.Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.Ability to work in confined spaces or at elevated heights when necessary.Manual dexterity and ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely.Ability to distinguish colors, sounds, and visual indicators related to equipment operation and safety.Work EnvironmentManufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery and industrial equipment.Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, and varying temperatures.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe shoes.May require occasional overtime or weekend work to support production needs.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
