Job Details Location: Deerfield Beach, FL 33441 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $14.00 - $14.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Shift: Any Job Category: Retail Summary Customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device (such as a phone or tablet), and thank donors for their donated items. Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise. Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments. Cleaning duties: bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, merchandise counters. Report issues that require maintenance repairs. Customer service activities: customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image. Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Qualifications High school or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience. 6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills. Prior cashiering experience is a plus. Knowledge of electronic devices. Equipment, Machines, and Tools Used Cash register, pricing and tagging materials, box cutters, merchandise movement, and storage containers. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
