With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, and Houston, as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high 3,000+ associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States./ppWe are looking for positive, energetic Power-Line Worker with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce./ppApplicants should have the ability to:/pulliKnowledgeable in communication and applicable OSHA rules and regulations/liliAdhere to safety practices and procedures, such as checking equipment regularly and erecting barriers around work areas/liliAbility to test conductors, according to electrical diagrams and specifications, to identify corresponding conductors and to prevent incorrect connections/liliAbility to open switches or attach grounding devices to remove electrical hazards from disturbed or fallen lines or to facilitate repairs/liliMust be experienced in the proper operation of a digger/derrick truck and bucket truck, hydraulic pole tamper, and hydraulic impact wrenches/liliAbility to identify defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators, transformers, switches, relays, or wiring, using wiring diagrams and electrical-testing instruments/liliAbility to Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems, including conduits, cables, wires, and related equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches/liliMust be experienced in the proper utilization of electrical pole-line tools and equipment such as Telescoping Hot Stick, High Voltage testers, High Voltage Phasing Sticks, and Switch Disconnect Stick/liliPlace insulating or fireproofing materials over conductors and joints/liliString wire conductors and cables between poles, towers, trenches, pylons, and buildings, setting lines in place and using winches to adjust tension/liliInspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems, using reading and testing instruments/liliAttach cross-arms, insulators, and auxiliary equipment to poles prior to installing them/liliReplace or straighten damaged poles/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliTWIC card - (Transportation Worker Identification Credential); Go to TWIC website for more information/liliAbility to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks/liliMust possess a current Class A CDL Drivers License/liliMinimum 4 years in line work installations/li/ulpOther Information:/pulliExcellent wages and complete benefits package./liliWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law./liliISC evaluates and hires applicants for employment based exclusively upon the applicants merit.
