Air Import Operations Coordinator

EAF is a freight forwarder with 11 offices across the United States, handling air and ocean import and export logistics for clients across pharmaceuticals, aerospace, automotive parts, and other industries, and serving major countries around the world. The Air Import Operations Coordinator sits within our Import Operations team and manages air import shipments from the moment a pre-alert arrives through final delivery. Success in this role looks like accurate, well-organized documentation and shipments that move through the process without missed steps or delays. EAF is willing to teach and develop the right candidate, but we're looking for a strong performer with solid experience and a genuine interest in global logistics and international trade; a background in Supply Chain Management is preferred. Responsibilities: Manage assigned air import shipments end-to-end, from pre-alert through final delivery, ensuring no steps are missed Organize and maintain digital shipment folders for air import documentation, including MAWB/HAWB, ISF filings, and delivery orders Prepare and coordinate customs-related documents, including 7501 and 3461 filings Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal team members to gather information and resolve outstanding questions Identify and flag documentation gaps or delays before they affect delivery timelines Support process-improvement projects as the team continues to streamline import operations Build working knowledge of freight forwarding, customs compliance, and import logistics through daily, hands-on work Qualifications: Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field such as Business, Economics, or International Trade (preferred, not required) Prior freight forwarding or logistics experience preferred; EAF will train and develop the right candidate Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with time-sensitive documents Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills Comfortable collaborating across teams, including operations, customer service, and carrier-facing roles Genuine interest in global logistics and international trade, with a willingness to learn Strong problem-solving skills — every day brings different shipments and new challenges to work through Able to work full-time, on-site in Queens, NY #J-18808-Ljbffr Express Air Freight Unlimited
