Position Summary

Reliable Home Care Providers, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide in-home care for an elderly female client in Mundelein, Illinois . The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and experienced with personal care and safe transfers. The client is nonverbal and communicates using an iPad communication app.

Schedule

• Part-time 
• 2-3 days per week  
• 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• 12-16 hours per week  

Responsibilities

• Assist with transfers from bed to wheelchair/chair. 
• Assist with toileting and hygiene. 
• Prepare and assist with feeding lunch. 
• Accompany the client outdoors and push the wheelchair for short walks around the neighborhood. 
• Perform light housekeeping, including:
  • Laundry 
  • Cleaning the bathroom after use, as needed 
  • Cleaning the kitchen after meals, as needed 
• Provide companionship and respectful, attentive care. 
• Observe and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States. 
• Previous caregiving experience, especially with Parkinson's disease, ALS, or mobility assistance, required. 
• Experience with safe transfers and personal care. 
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional. 
• Fluent in English. 
• Ability to lift and safely assist a client weighing approximately 90 lbs . 
• Reliable transportation.
