Overview As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients per the nursing process and current standards of practice. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage and coordinate patient care. Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition in a timely manner. Unit Information N:P ratio: Days 1:4–5; Nights 1:5–6 Number of beds: 48 total; average of 35 beds on the unit Type of care: Post Open Heart patients (after 24 hours in ICU), TAVRs, Watchman, Cardiac drips, Sheaths, TEE, Cardioversions; cardiac stepdown with a mix of medical-surgical patients Qualifications & Requirements 2 years current experience in PCU, Cardiac/Tele or Stepdown required Strong cardiac skillset and care Illinois RN license active at time of submission; Iowa RN license active or proof of application for IA license if IA license is not active May be asked to float across campuses: Bettendorf (IA), Moline, Muscatine (IA), TRI License verification BLS (AHA) or ARC certification (copy required) Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission References preferred Home/taxable address listed in profile (resume notes acceptable) Licensing & Compliance Illinois Nurse Agency license must be active.
