Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant | Financial Services | Miami, FL Our client, a privately held financial services firm in the Miami area, is hiring a Staff Accountant to join a small finance team. What you will do Prepare journal entries and monthly bank and trading reconciliations Support the preparation of regulatory financial reports and related schedules Handle month-end close tasks and maintain fixed asset, prepaid, and accrual schedules Monitor accounts payable and outstanding balances, and review that payments are coded correctly Help with budgets, forecasts, and quarterly consolidating schedules Work with outside auditors as the year-end audit approaches Take on special projects and a bit of everything else, as a small team requires What you bring 3+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger work and journal entries Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Experience in broker dealer or financial services accounting is strongly preferred.
