Team Lead Patient Access

As our Team Lead of Patient Access, you’ll work a variety of shifts to help patients check into the hospital. It’s fast-paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust by collecting information accurately and quickly while listening with compassion to address their fears, concerns, and questions. To thrive in this job, you’ll need to be a confident multitasker who is a quick study with technology, can type and answer phones, and does not need prior healthcare experience. We will train you in a hospital/lab environment. You must be up-to-date on all vaccinations (including COVID-19 and annual flu shot), pass a drug test, and pass a background check before hiring. Responsibilities Work with Patient Access Associates to ensure their success and development. Ensure the team meets production standards, deadlines, and work schedules by monitoring work trends and reporting needs to the Patient Access Manager and/or Facility Lead in a timely manner. Use computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment, coordinating multiple screens and ensuring accurate data entry between physician and nurse check‑ins. Provide compassionate support to patients, listening carefully to ease anxiety and building rapport in real-time. Operate in a fast‑paced environment, often on your feet, managing varied health plans and coverage while adapting to unexpected situations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Excellent customer service experience. Salary & Benefits For this US-based position, the base pay range is $18.76 - $29.19 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We offer a competitive benefits package.
