Supervisor, Operations

Shift 1st Shift – Sun‑Wed 5:00am–3:30pm. Job Summary Supervisor of operations overseeing activities including ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in a warehouse or yard. Responsibilities Review inbound appointment log and open order report each day to plan work activities. Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics. Determine staffing needs based on workload and schedule staff accordingly. Assign workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules. Review and update operational procedures and ensure they are communicated and understood by warehouse associates. Track productivity and evaluate performance by individual, function, and department. Work with Inventory Control to achieve highest inventory accuracy. Manage payroll for the department. Advise employees on handling items received, stored, shipped, equipment use, and related problems. Trace item history to determine reasons for inventory discrepancies and recommend remedial actions. Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow. Issue written and oral instructions. Ensure proper safety procedures are followed. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise 20+ employees in Operations. Conduct hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, discipline, complaints, and problem resolution per company policies and applicable laws. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
