Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care and spend more time at the bedside with patients. Job Summary The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per the department’s specific requirements and the scope and standards of nursing practice. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients, families and caregivers and supports the organization’s vision, mission and values. What You Will Do Assess patient condition during admission and at each shift as scheduled or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers. Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs to resolve them proactively. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery. Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or an active compact license. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
