PRN Medical Assistant

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as a PRN Medical Assistant, supporting providers to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care. This role involves performing patient care duties within the medical assistant scope of practice, assisting with treatments and procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out provider orders accurately and timely, facilitating patient flow and communication to optimize clinic experience.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation of supplies.
• Administer immunizations under provider supervision, maintaining compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing.
• Perform daily room checks, stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and uphold infection control standards.
• Support a clean and safe environment by collaborating with environmental services.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with technology including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and team members.
