On-Call Caregiver – DFW Area$18/hr Client Care + Paid Travel Time + Standby PayHarmony At Home Senior Care is hiring experienced, dependable On-Call Caregivers to provide backup coverage for clients throughout the DFW area.This is a great opportunity for an experienced caregiver who likes variety, is comfortable with different levels of care, doesn't mind driving, and can be counted on when a client unexpectedly needs coverage.As an On-Call Caregiver, you won't necessarily work with the same client every day. Instead, you'll be part of our ready-to-go backup team and may be sent wherever coverage is needed during your scheduled on-call hours.Available On-Call SchedulesWeekday Mornings: 8:00 AM–12:00 PMWeekends: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM (12-hour on-call shifts)Depending on our needs, you may spend part of your scheduled time on standby and part of it traveling to or providing care for a client.How You'll Be Paid$18/hour – Client Care When you are dispatched and providing care for a client, you earn $18/hour.$7.25/hour – Paid Travel Time When dispatched, your travel time from home to the assignment AND your return trip home is paid at $7.25/hour.$1/hour – Standby Pay When you are scheduled on call but have not been dispatched, you receive $1/hour in standby pay.While on standby, you can remain at home and go about your normal activities. You do not have to sit in an office or designated location—you simply need to remain reachable and ready to leave if you're needed.What Kind of Clients Will I Work With?Assignments may include one-on-one care in a client's private home or providing scheduled one-on-one assistance in a senior living or facility setting, including assisting multiple residents with individually scheduled care tasks.Care may include:Companionship and supervisionBathing, dressing and groomingToileting and incontinence careTransfers and mobility assistanceDementia-related supportMeal preparationLight housekeepingOther activities of daily living and hands-on personal careWe're Looking for an Experienced, Flexible CaregiverBecause we don't know in advance which client will need coverage, our On-Call Caregivers must be comfortable:Working with male and female clientsProviding hands-on personal careAssisting clients with different mobility and transfer needsWorking with clients with varying levels of independenceWorking in both private homes and senior living/facility environmentsWorking in homes with dogs, cats or birdsWorking with clients who smoke or in homes where smoking may occurDriving throughout the DFW service areaReceiving assignments on short noticeWorking with different clients rather than only one regular clientApplicants should already have strong caregiving experience and be confident providing more than companionship-only care.Is On-Call Care Right for You?This position is a particularly good fit if you're the type of caregiver who can receive a call, get the information you need, grab your things, and confidently step in to help.You'll have the freedom to remain at home and handle your own activities while you're not needed—and when we do need you, your travel time is paid and your client-care rate increases to $18/hour.In return, we're looking for someone we can truly count on during the hours they've committed to being available.If you're experienced, flexible, dependable, and comfortable going wherever you're needed throughout DFW, we'd love to hear from you.
