The CT Tech plays a critical role in inpatient healthcare settings by performing computed tomography scans to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Reporting to the Radiology Manager, this position requires expertise in scanning procedures, patient preparation, and image analysis while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety protocols. The CT Tech ensures high-quality imaging and efficient operation of equipment, collaborating closely with the healthcare team and communicating effectively with patients.

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) - Fri/Sat/Sun

Special Note: On nights there is only 1 CT Tech working, but there is a CT assistant working alongside that will help with transporting, patient transfers, room turnover.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scanning procedures safely and accurately
• Prepare patients for scanning, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
• Analyze and review images for quality and diagnostic value
• Operate CT equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
• Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of procedures and patient data
• Conduct quality control to ensure optimal imaging standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in computed tomography technology
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography
• State Radiologic Technologist License
• Certifications: ARRT R, BLS
• Knowledge of CT Imaging, Radiologic Technology, Patient Care, Medical Terminology, and Radiation Safety
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with charting systems such as Epic
