Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer at Specific Labs, you'll work directly with the founding team to build, scale, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers the company. This is a hands-on role where you'll have direct impact on the platform's reliability, performance, and feature velocity.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs that support the company's core product.
• Collaborate with founders and cross-functional teams to identify platform bottlenecks and ship improvements.
• Maintain and optimize infrastructure, databases, and deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the platform's long-term direction.
• Debug production issues and implement monitoring and observability solutions.

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience building and maintaining production systems or backend services.
• Strong fundamentals in at least one backend language (Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or similar).
• Experience with databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or equivalent).
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Under $50k per year.

Remote, with preference for candidates based in India or Latin America.
