Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and guest-focused Shift Supervisor to support daily dining room operations. This role will work closely with the management team to ensure smooth service, strong team communication, and an elevated guest experience. The Floor Manager will help lead the FOH team during service, support opening and closing procedures, and ensure that service standards and operational expectations are consistently met.

This position may include AM or PM shifts based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management team in overseeing daily FOH operations.
• Help ensure service standards are consistently maintained throughout the shift.
• Monitor the dining room and proactively address operational needs.
• Assist with restaurant setup and ensure the FOH team is prepared for service.
• Ensure side work, mise en place, and opening responsibilities are completed properly.
• Support closing procedures and ensure the restaurant is left organized and ready for the next shift.
• Lead and support hosts, servers, and support staff during service.
• Provide direction and coaching to team members as needed.
• Maintain a calm, professional, and communicative presence on the floor.
• Help ensure proper communication between shifts and departments.
• Engage with guests and help ensure a positive dining experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and assist with service recovery when necessary.
• Communicate guest concerns or special requests to the appropriate manager.
• Support VIP and special guest experiences.
• Assist with maintaining proper FOH organization and par levels.
• Communicate inventory or supply needs to the management team.
• Help ensure FOH areas remain clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
• Follow all company procedures related to service, sanitation, and safety.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of restaurant POS systems, with Toast experience preferred.
• Manage and navigate reservation platforms, including OpenTable and Resy.
• Use 7shifts for scheduling, shift communication, team management, and other operational functions.
• Be comfortable learning and utilizing new restaurant technology and systems as needed.
• Work closely with managers and the kitchen team to maintain smooth service.
• Communicate important shift updates, guest concerns, and operational issues to management.
• Help ensure a seamless transition between shifts.

Ideal Candidate

• 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in upscale or high-volume dining.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant service, FOH operations, and service flow.
• Experience with Toast or other restaurant POS systems.
• Experience with OpenTable and/or Resy reservation systems.
• Working knowledge of 7shifts or similar restaurant scheduling platforms.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and technology.
• Calm, professional, and solution oriented.
• Leads by example and maintains a positive presence on the floor.
• Strong understanding of hospitality and a commitment to providing an elevated guest experience.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($23.00 - $25.00)
