Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Nights - 10/12/2026 to 01/10/2027. This role involves providing comprehensive post-surgical care to general surgery patients within a 32-bed unit. The position offers opportunities to work within a collaborative team environment, supporting communication with surgical residents and other healthcare providers.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Nursys license, professional license, successful completion of ascension profile, ascension skills checklist, minimum 1 year of experience in medical surgical nursing, BLS certification, successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required, based on staffing needs and patient census
• Additional Information: The unit cares for patients with diagnoses including bowel obstruction, wound infection, gastrointestinal cancers, and morbid obesity. Patients served are young adults through late adults (18-60+), must be hemodynamically stable, and not require mechanical ventilation. A registered nurse is responsible for full patient care on each team, which includes licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns.
