We are currently hiring a Delivery Assurance Specialist for our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry . This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in supplier performance, delivery assurance, supply chain risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier development, delivery assurance, supply chain risk mitigation, production readiness, and supplier quality management. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work closely with suppliers to resolve delivery and quality challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Assurance & Supply Chain Management
- Monitor supplier delivery commitments, portal compliance, and data integrity.
- Review supplier recovery plans and drive actions to meet delivery schedules.
- Track parts, work-in-progress (WIP), and line-of-balance (LOB) status.
- Identify supplier capacity constraints, manufacturing bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to expedite critical orders.
- Provide regular status updates and progress reports to leadership.
- Conduct onsite supplier visits to assess progress and support recovery efforts.
Supplier Development & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct supplier assessments in collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Procurement teams.
- Develop and maintain Supplier Improvement Plans (SIPs).
- Drive supplier performance improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Monitor supplier KPIs, on-time delivery (OTD), and cost-to-serve metrics.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks across multiple sites.
Supplier Quality Management
- Develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
- Review and update PFMEA, Control Plans, and other quality documentation.
- Facilitate supplier training on quality tools and verify corrective action effectiveness.
- Maintain reports on supplier corrective actions and quality performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, supplier development, or delivery assurance; aerospace and defense experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or Oracle.
- Experience in supplier assessments, capacity planning, and production readiness.
- Familiarity with project management, engineering outsourcing, and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and manufacturing process improvement.
- Strong communication, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to supplier facilities as required, potentially daily.
