Role Description The Mortgage Loan Closer is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Oklahoma City, OK, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing mortgage loan closing packages, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory and internal guidelines. Day‑to‑day tasks include coordinating with loan officers, processors, title companies, and escrow agents to schedule closings, verify fees and terms, and resolve documentation or funding issues. The Mortgage Loan Closer will manage closing timelines, monitor conditions prior to funding, and maintain detailed records within lending systems. The role also involves providing clear communication to internal and external stakeholders, proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies, and supporting a smooth closing experience for borrowers. Qualifications Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including residential mortgage lending practices and regulations. Experience preparing and reviewing loan documents, including closing disclosures and related legal documentation. Demonstrated skills in mortgage lending processes, from approval through closing and post‑closing. Ability to manage funding activities and collaborate with escrow and title professionals to ensure timely closings. Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities, and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a customer‑focused approach. Proficiency with mortgage origination and closing software, and general office applications (e.g., "MS Office"). Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing multiple deadlines. Prior experience as a mortgage closer, processor, or related role preferred.
