Approximately 11,000 employees are involved in this. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the interface between medicine and dentistry. The MKG ward therefore has a varied field of activity. The spectrum is very diverse. We treat injuries in the oral, jaw and facial area, malignant and benign tumors, procedures of plastic and reconstructive surgery, and primary and corrective operations for cleft lip, jaw, and palate clefts at any age. The ward has 20–24 patient beds. You are responsible for the care of pre‑ and postoperative patients. One focus is same‑day surgical procedures and a second focus is oncological patients.
