As a Managing Consultant, Environmental Toxicologist and Ecological Risk Assessor, you will serve as a technical leader delivering innovative ecological risk assessment and toxicology solutions that inform critical decisions for major oil and gas clients. You will apply scientific rigor, regulatory expertise, and analytical insight to solve complex environmental challenges while helping clients achieve their sustainability and business goals.You will also play a key role in developing technical talent, strengthening client relationships, and delivering high-quality solutions that drive positive environmental outcomes across Gulf Coast ecosystems.What You'll BringRequiredBachelor’s degree in toxicology, environmental toxicology, chemistry, public health, ecology, or related life sciences, or equivalent experience.4-6 years (6–10 years preferred) of relevant experience; consulting experience preferred.Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in managing large datasets (MS Excel).Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple priorities under strict deadlines.Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.Commitment to safety and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.PreferredAdvanced degree (MS or higher) in a related discipline.Experience with ecological risk assessments and regulatory compliance in oil and gas sectors.Experience testifying as an expert witness.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support ecological risk assessments and site investigations.Manage, query, and analyze large chemical and biological datasets.Manage, direct, and train junior environmental staff.Research toxicities and physical/chemical properties of oil and gas constituents and develop and implement site specific risk assessment methods.Conduct literature reviews on toxicological and biological topics.Develop work plans, figures, and technical reports with precision and clarity.Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.Who We Are:As the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.At ERM we know that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career.
