Mail Order Certified Pharmacy Technician in Vinton, VA

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support at-home chronic care management by joining a dynamic mail order pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician III. This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, working from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a 13-week duration starting as soon as possible.

8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately interpret sig codes and select appropriate pharmaceutical products
Process prescription refills and manage prescription orders efficiently
Perform data entry tasks, verify insurance coverage, and resolve claim rejections
Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist review and approval
Maintain pharmacy inventory by conducting cycle counts and managing returns
Respond to inbound and outbound patient calls, and handle prescriber requests professionally
Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and company protocols

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician licensure
PTCB certification required
Excellent communication skills with capabilities in multitasking and time management
Ability to work effectively in a patient-centered environment
