Description

  • Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments to craft tailored treatment plans
  • Deliver physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
  • Work in collaboration with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to maximize patient outcomes
  • Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and home exercise routines
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in line with facility and regulatory standards
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team rounds and conferences to ensure cohesive patient care

Education

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

  • Prior experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage patients with complicated medical and mobility challenges
