Radiology Technologist

Job Summary Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operate equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensure image quality satisfactory for clinical purposes. Key Responsibilities Operate diagnostic radiology equipment and perform basic radiology tasks, following general protocols. Ensure accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures. Conduct image operations per provider requests and technical factors. Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection practices. Deliver excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Navigate electronic medical record (EMR) system. Perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (ECG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual‑energy X‑ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. Support occupational medicine clinics: perform routing tests, sampling, drug screens, breath‑alcohol testing, audiograms, and related administrative or clinical services. Participate in on‑call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Qualifications Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registration with ARRT is required. Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection. State‑specific licensure: North Dakota – NDMIRT; South Dakota – ARRT certification within 60 days; Iowa – permit from the Department of Public Health. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks at certain clinic locations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and recertification as necessary. Driver's license may be required depending on the department. Schedule & Compensation Day shift schedule with occasional PM shift; weekend rotation approximately every 5th weekend. Salary: $26.98–$41.50 per hour. Possible sign‑on bonus up to $20,000.
