Forklift Operator - 3rd Shift : Rock City , Illinois

Our customer in Rock City, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Forklift Operators to work full-time on 3rd shift. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator :

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials and finished products are handled properly and securely.
• Transport raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to designated areas within the facility.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement through proper documentation and system updates.
• Inspect forklifts and equipment daily to ensure safe operation and report any issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA guidelines while operating equipment.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining warehouse and storage areas.
• Support production teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials to work areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in warehouses and staging areas.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards within the manufacturing environment.
• Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits as needed.

Forklift Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain or maintain forklift certification.
• Experience working in food manufacturing or ingredient production environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems or ERP software.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and proper equipment operation.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Pay for Forklift Operator : Starting at $23/hour.
