Mental Health Technician

Mental Health TechnicianColeman Health Services, a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking multiple Mental Health Technicians to join our team in Ravenna, Ohio where you will work in our Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Units monitoring client safety and coordinating treatment with the team. Staff in this role will work three 12-hour shifts a week and are hiring for day shift.May be eligible for a Sign-On Bonus up to $1,000!Employee Package includes:Pay starting at $18, based on shiftHealth, dental, and vision insuranceFlex Spending Account (FSA)403(b) retirement planAnnual Wellness reimbursementAccrued paid time off (PTO)$2,000 staff referral bonusSupportive and collaborative team environmentStrong commitment to providing high-quality careJob Duties:Meal preparationMonitoring resident safetyMaintaining unit compliance standardsProviding support and activities for residents on the unitConsulting with clinical treatment team of case managers, nurses, counselors, and psychiatristsParticipation in team-based responses to behavioral and psychiatric emergencies, including implementation of seclusion and restraint interventions when clinically indicated and authorized in accordance with Ohio law, agency policy, and approved training methods.Utilizing verbal de-escalation, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention techniques to reduce risk and support stabilization.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in crisis interventionPhysical Requirements:Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and move throughout the facility for extended periodsMust be able to safely lift, push, pull, or assist in moving up to 50 pounds independently and heavier weights with assistanceMust be able to physically participate in approved crisis intervention and safety procedures, including physical escorts, therapeutic holds, and restraint interventionsOur Company Culture and Benefits Set Us Apart!
