Staff Accountant

Overview Our rapidly expanding technology firm is looking to fill the position of Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of GAAP, experience in GL reconciliations, inventory management, AP, and AR. Must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is strongly preferred. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on qualifications and experience Requirements A bachelor’s degree in business and/or accounting from a 4-year college or university. Good with Excel. Solid experience with QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise. Excellent English skills. Must be able to communicate in a clear, professional manner. Strong understanding of internal controls. Must be a team-player, possess a positive attitude, and be willing to step up to responsibilities as needed. Minimum 3 years' work experience preferred. Good references from previous employers. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Enter invoices into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy of items and accounts coded. Assist in reconciling GL accounts, assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statement and balance sheet. Assist in month-end close, including journal entries and supporting schedules. Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements monthly. Prepare and send invoices to customers, and follow-up in a professional manner for collections when necessary. Reconciliation and tracking of inventory product movements, including performing physical inventory counts. Prepare payments, for vendors and employees, including checks and wires. Assist in audit and tax filing processes. Work with supply chain personnel in issuing purchase orders. Prepare customer setup forms, credit applications, and resale certificates for vendors. Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr AWM
