Electrician

Valiant is looking for an Electrician to join our team! The Electrician performs maintenance and repair of equipment & systems and building features as required with an emphasis on Electrical equipment, fixtures and systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs maintenance on all types of electrical or electrically powered equipment and systems.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Calibrates machine controls for optimal performance and safety
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Create project takeoffs, orders and installs replacement parts for machines and systems.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Repairs broken machines quickly, efficiently and safely.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed (PMs, WOs, etc).
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines, equipment and systems..
• Collaborates with project manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
• Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• HS/GED, Certification, various trade certifications
• Electrical license

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills; ability to follow directions in English.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Must be able to pass national background check & drug screen.

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work in hot/cold environments.
• Must be able to safely climb stairs and ladders, occasionally work at heights
