Electrician

Birmingham Electrical Contractors, Inc. is looking for long-term apprentice to Journeyman level electricians. Must be dependable, have reliable transportation, and able to pass a drug test. Pay is dependent on experience. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of electrical systems and equipment. Install, bend, and secure conduit according to project specifications. Pull wire for branch circuits and assist with circuit installations. Read and apply ampacity charts and other electrical references as directed. Organize, identify, and properly use electrical materials and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Work closely with foremen and crew members to complete projects efficiently. Qualifications Experience installing and bending conduit. Experience with branch circuits, including pulling wire and understanding ampacity charting. Knowledge of electrical materials, including proper identification, organization, and application. Ability to listen, understand, and follow instructions from supervisors and foremen. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality. Willingness to attend school or training programs and continue developing electrical skills. Preferred Qualifications Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program. Basic understanding of electrical codes and safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
