Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages. Performs shipment checks for conformance to FedEx service features. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area and related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Full‑time swing driver position covering sick calls, vacation liability, and both AM and PM shifts. Position runs Monday‑Friday. Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Minimum Experience Six months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet federal motor carrier safety regulations and obtain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements. Driver must have a good driving record as outlined in company policy. Position is not safety‑sensitive. Ability to work while maintaining constant alertness and safety.
