Ver Coaching helps athletes improve how they process what they see. Using virtual reality, we train hand-eye coordination, tracking, peripheral awareness, reaction timing, and other visual skills that impact athletic performance.

We work with college athletic programs, sports academies, and clubs nationwide, with a strong presence in volleyball.

We're a growing startup looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and helping turn opportunities into customers.

About the Role

We're looking for a Growth & Events Lead to help grow Ver through sales outreach, events, and relationship-building.

You'll help organize and run conferences, tournaments, and sports camps, demonstrate our VR technology, connect with coaches and decision-makers, and keep sales opportunities moving forward.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the sales process, take ownership of projects, and play a meaningful role in growing a startup.

What You'll Do

• Sales & Outreach: Research and connect with college coaches, club directors, facility owners, and other decision-makers to generate leads and schedule meetings.
• Relationship Building: Build genuine connections, develop referrals, and maintain communication with prospective customers.
• Event Management: Plan and coordinate event logistics, travel, shipping, equipment, booth setup, and on-site execution.
• Product Demonstrations: Represent Ver at conferences, tournaments, and sports camps, leading hands-on demonstrations of our VR training.
• Marketing & Content: Help coordinate social media activity and capture photos, videos, and content from events.
• Sales Follow-Up: Organize leads, track conversations, coordinate next steps, and support the sales process from initial introduction through customer conversion.

• Outgoing, personable, and comfortable starting conversations with new people.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive about planning.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and willing to solve problems without constant direction.
• Understands that the best sales relationships are genuine, not transactional.
• Comfortable traveling, working occasional evenings and weekends, and learning new technology.
• Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow alongside an early-stage company.

Experience in sales, sports, event management, or marketing is helpful, but not required. Initiative, follow-through, and the ability to connect with people matter more than a particular degree or job title.

• February 13–15, 2027: Volleyball camp, South Florida
• Additional events throughout 2027, primarily in volleyball

Schedule & Compensation

This is a flexible, event-based role that can be performed remotely between events. Candidates do not need to be based in Durham, NC.

Compensation includes:

• Hourly pay for sales outreach, marketing, event planning, and follow-up.
• Flat fee for working events.
• Approved travel expenses covered, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
• Potential for commission-based compensation as the role develops.
