Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital assignment requiring NBRC certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department position,
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00,
• Weekend work as needed,
• May float to other facilities within the health system,

Job Requirements

• Active NBRC certification required, in hand at time of consideration,
• BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• 1 year of combined experience in the specialty required for Ohio locations,
• Active AHA certifications required at time of consideration; no pending certifications accepted,
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required,
• License required if applicable,
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine/cotinine required within 12 months of start, updated annually,
• COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only,
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only,

Additional Information

• Smoke-free facility requiring candidates to be nicotine-free with no exceptions,
• Expected to work every other holiday,
• Background check findings of any kind will be reviewed by the facility; license-related findings are not accepted,
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract,
• Annual hands-on competency requirement applies to travelers who remain on continuous contract for at least 1 year or return in a subsequent calendar year,
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date,
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required before returning,
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate,
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
