Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for labor, postpartum, and newborn nursery patients in accordance with AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Manage labor and delivery patients, postpartum couplets, and newborn nursery care within a Level 1 maternity and Level 1 nursery setting <
• Care for post-operative GYN patients as part of the unit's scope of practice
• Perform triage, daily unit tasks, restocking, and cleaning as assigned during lower-census periods
• Float to other departments for limited non-patient-assignment tasks (e.g., vital signs, answering lights, patient history) and potentially to other facilities within the southern region as needed
• Adhere to facility infection control and vaccination policies, including masking requirements during flu season if applicable

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Advanced NRP certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN and PALS certifications
• Critical access hospital experience
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to a highly variable census environment with a team-oriented, resilient, and confident approach
