Dispatcher – Academy Service Group Location: Hackensack, NJ Position: Full-Time, In-Office Academy Service Group is looking for a highly organized, motivated, and results-driven Dispatcher to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced position that requires someone who can manage multiple priorities at once, communicate confidently with technicians, vendors, customers, and internal teams, and take ownership of service calls from start to finish. We are looking for someone who is proactive—not someone who waits to be told what to do. The right person will be comfortable making phone calls, solving problems, following up consistently, and ensuring every service request is handled quickly and correctly. Responsibilities Dispatch technicians and subcontractors to service calls nationwide Coordinate scheduling and confirm appointments with vendors and customer locations Manage a high volume of active work orders throughout the day Make outbound calls to technicians, vendors, customers, and site contacts Follow up aggressively on open and outstanding service requests Obtain ETAs, updates, completion documentation, photos, signatures, and estimates Communicate delays, issues, and emergencies immediately Review work orders for accuracy and completeness before closing or billing Enter clear, detailed, and professional notes into our systems Work with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and control service costs Handle emergency and time-sensitive service requests Maintain strong communication with management and other departments Take ownership of assigned accounts and work orders from dispatch through completion Meet daily productivity, response-time, and performance expectations What We're Looking For The Ideal Candidate Is Extremely organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Confident and professional on the phone Persistent with follow-up and comfortable holding vendors accountable Able to multitask and prioritize urgent situations A strong problem solver who can make decisions quicklyReliable, punctual, and accountable Able to communicate clearly through both phone and email Comfortable learning multiple computer systems Competitive and motivated by goals and results Someone who takes ownership instead of passing problems to someone else Previous experience in dispatching, facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, construction, property management, logistics, or another service-based industry is strongly preferred.
