Vice President, Strategic Alliance Management

ICON seeks a Vice President to serve as senior executive sponsor for strategic customer partnerships. The role focuses on developing executive relationships, overseeing alliance performance, driving cross-service growth, and ensuring operational excellence across assigned client portfolios.

Responsibilities

Serve as executive sponsor and primary strategic contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships
Lead alliance governance, portfolio performance monitoring, and long-term account planning activities
Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure service delivery quality and client satisfaction
Drive resolution of complex operational, quality, and financial issues while managing escalations
Develop and execute account growth strategies to expand ICON service offerings with clients

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and professional experience
Significant experience in clinical research, drug development, CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors
Proven track record leading strategic client partnerships and managing large, complex customer portfolios
Strong understanding of clinical development, project delivery, and global operational oversight
Demonstrated ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
Excellent relationship management, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; preference for East Coast US location
