About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Holding Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have a valid state license or compact Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience considered Description: Ratios for the Emergency Room Holding are 6:1. Acute Care or Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience is necessary. Nurses will care for patients who are admitted and waiting for bed availability. Patients may be located in a designated area or possibly in the hallway. If there are no patients being boarded, nurses may be used in an acute care area. This is a rare possibility but should be considered. Every other weekend and some holidays are required. First-time applicants may be considered based on previous experience. Floating within the clinician's scope to meet facility needs is expected. Block schedule accommodations may be available. Pending licenses are not accepted. References are required. Prior experience with the charting system is necessary. Candidates must have an active license in hand when submitting. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during the orientation and annually. Modules vary between specialties and are recorded by the Nurse Educator onsite.
