Electro-Mechanical Technical Specialist

Job Summary In this role, you will provide on-site project support, technical guidance and assist in repair and maintenance of construction equipment. You will perform audits, assist with product training, initiate requisitions for field purchases, and review cost estimates, vendor bids, and project controls documents. You will support training of operations and maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment. Major Responsibilities Provides knowledge and expertise in equipment maintenance and repair, subject matter, or specialized experience related to heavy haul and cranes operations. Roles within this group are specialized lifting and transport equipment SME related to fleet maintenance and reliability planning. Provides technical consultation support to projects. Liaisons with projects to understand the daily challenges related to equipment including building techniques, optimizing product choice, and improving the software tools needed to track and manage construction equipment. Performs project sites audits and support when needed and works directly with the manufacturer in support of any maintenance, repair procedures or parts acquisition. Assists with product training and improvements needed to directly support safe and efficient equipment operation. Assists in shaping the BEO business model and implement processes that maximize the use and choice of BEO in support of our projects. Safety and Quality Monitors and ensures that the quality of work performed meets requirements. Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by BEO management. Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and in safe operational order. Education and Experience Requirements Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Highly focused experience performing troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of SPMT equipment. Advanced knowledge of SPMT electrical and hydraulic system design and operation. Previous experience is planning, execution and project management of jobs performing heavy transport operations on industrial projects.
