Job Description As the Senior OSS Enginer (Linux, Docker, Kubernetes), you will be responsible for leading day-to-day delivery, support, and availability of the FDB Global Infrastructure, this includes but is not limited to build, configure, administer, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions. These technologies and solutions can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open-source packages and solutions. They can also include containerized, virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). In this role, you willaid in design andimplementstandardinformation security and security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats withinFDBsolutions andservices.You willaid in the technical design and delivery of FDB global projects ensuring ROI andbest value are delivered. Responsible for thecapacitymanagement,business continuity and backup of all FDB platform hosted systems.The role also has the responsibility for QoSin regard tothe infrastructure platform, as such will create SOP’s and procedures thatdrivesandensuresthis. Principal Accountabilities: Lead day-to-day support and availability of the FDB Global OSS Infrastructure, this includes but is not limited to build, configure, administer, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions. These technologies and solutions can include computing, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS), and open-source packages and solutions. They can also include virtual and cloud computing such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) Perform cross-functional, multidisciplinary technicalsupportand delivery ofFDB globalprojects,Compiletechnology related documentation forGxPand critical IT technologies. Participate/leadin system validation and testing processes asrequired. Represent IT system in connection with audits and inspections Work withFDBtechnical architects todefine andtranslate architectural designs intooperationaldeliveredsolutions andservices. Responsible fordeployingnew technology,systems andhardwareensuring that they integrate smoothly with existingsystems andinfrastructure.They ensure that all FDBpolicies,and procedures are followed and that all deployed systems meet the securityframeworks inplace.Theare responsible forensuring AIS metrics are defined and met prior to new system/service deployment Scope and Accountability: Technical leadforcapacity,support,and availabilitymanagementof the FDB globalIT platform,storage,and business continuity services Brief andadviseseniorITmanagement ontechnologysupport and availability needs, produce solution documents and reports to supportthis. Mentorpeersand help buildtheIT/OTtechnical solutionswithin the organizationona global perspective, ensuringsecureby designmethodology. Perform cross-functional, multidisciplinary technicalsupportto include evaluationand deliveryof projectworkpackages,design requirements,and associated procedures related to enterprise-level IT/OT systems. Operational leadintoroadmaps and strategies for IT/OT architecture and securityinitiatives. Design systemscharacterizedby medium/highlevelsof risk, impact, and business or technicalcomplexity. Consult with system administrators, vendors, and other department personnel to provide guidance and technical direction for proposed enterprise technical solutions ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and vision statements. Responsible for thedelivery ofthe FDBcyber securitygovernanceand policiesonall IT/OTinfrastructure systems Minimum Education and Experience Requirements You have 8yrs+experience in anIT3rd/4th line position withproventrack recordin an enterprise ITinfrastructureenvironment,or3+years’ experienceof working in a biomedical IT service environment.Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent backgroundto deliver against role expectations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: In depth design and support knowledge of Infrastructure technologies such as but not limited to RHEL, VMWare, Windows Server 2012-2022, Citrix, Hyperconverged, Ansible, Satellite, Debian Experience with Backup/Replication Technologies such as Veeam Strong experiencebuilding andmanagingenterpriseLinuxsystems. Strong experience building and managing containerized platforms (e.g., docker,kubernetes) Experience with opensource projects and licenses. Strong experience with cloudinfrastructureplatforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) Strong experience of infrastructure storage solutions including design, build and administration. In depth knowledge of Infrastructure security and associated frameworks such as ISO27000 Understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,NTP, and VPN Solid business acumen and at-ease when engaging with seniorleadership. In depth experience of scripting and automation technologies Experience oftrackingemergingITissues, strategies, roadmaps,patterns,and technologies over time to assess opportunitiesto enhance service delivery. Adept atcommunicatingwith technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, and across organizations, using architecture communicationtechniques. Adept atgainingsupport from business and technical stakeholders forITinitiatives withlow/mediumlevels of risk,impact,and complexity.
