For over 25 years, Southwest Care Center has been providing exceptional healthcare to the communities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. We are a non-profit, FQHC-LAL providing medical, behavioral health, case management, community outreach, diabetes education, and pharmacy services. Southwest Care Center is currently seeking a full-time Primary Care Medical Assistant working in our Santa Fe Clinic. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Medical Assistant is a critical member of the team. MA interactions with patients set the tone of each visit, create satisfaction, and support positive outcomes.

Candidate Highlights

• Two years direct experience as a Medical Assistant in a Primary Care position preferred
• Certification (CCMA, CMA) Preferred
• High School or GED Diploma
• Basic Life Support Certification Preferred

Position Details

• Provide direct patient care within the MA's scope of practice as directed by the provider/RN/LPN.
• Assist provider/RN/LPN in the coordination of patient care Manages data and prepares reports for supervisors of Southwest CARE Center.
• Perform regular clinical maintenance duties.
• Travel as needed to the various SCC clinics
• Competency in the use and maintenance of biomedical equipment and point-of-care testing.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of patient care
