Part-Time Classroom Aide

Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic School is seeking a caring and dependable Part-Time Classroom Aide to support teachers and students in a faith-filled learning environment. The Classroom Aide assists with instructional activities, student supervision, and daily classroom operations while helping create a positive atmosphere that promotes academic achievement, personal growth, and Catholic values. This part-time position works under the direction of the classroom teacher and school administration.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily educational activities.
• Provide support to individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Assist with preparing classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch periods, recess, and other assigned times.
• Support students with assignments, projects, and classroom tasks.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Assist with attendance, recordkeeping, copying, filing, and other clerical duties as needed.
• Encourage positive behavior and model Christian values consistent with the mission of the school.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administrators to support student success.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student, family, and school information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or principal.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or related setting preferred.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to support classroom instruction and student learning.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing classroom needs and priorities.
