The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will deliver outpatient level care in the home of patients. Working within a small team of 1-3 PTAs, the role requires collaboration with physical therapists and involves regular travel to patient homes to facilitate rehabilitation and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist
- Document treatment progress and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists and healthcare team members
- Educate patients and their families on therapy plans and home exercise routines
- Travel regularly to outpatient and patient home settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience as a physical therapy assistant
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or related field
- Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA) license
- Knowledge of patient care and therapeutic exercises
- Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques and medical documentation
- Strong teamwork skills and empathy for patients
