Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General

Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive general surgery services with 10 patient encounters per shift
• Must be board certified or board certification eligible
• Perform adult general surgery procedures (pediatric and neonate not required)
• Conduct laparoscopic surgeries including required appendectomy and cholecystectomy
• Perform chest tube insertion and central line insertion as required procedures
• Handle trauma cases preferred at Level 4 trauma facility
• Preferred experience with laparoscopic hernioplasty and Nissen fundoplication
• Preferred skills in head/neck surgery including thyroid procedures
• Chest wall/pleural procedures and breast surgery experience preferred
• OB/GYN surgical experience preferred including D&C and hysterectomy
• Liver surgery and GI endoscopy experience preferred
• Upper and lower endoscopy skills including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy preferred
• Ventilation management and PA catheter placement experience preferred
• Vascular access device placement preferred
• Laser certification preferred
• Must maintain active Mississippi medical license
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
