Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) will provide dedicated care to pediatric patients. This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional with a focus on delivering high-quality medical care in a Children's Hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to implement individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the appropriate physicians and healthcare team members.
Educate patients and families regarding health issues, care plans, and follow-up strategies.
Participation in unit activities and initiatives to provide a safe patient care environment.

Work Schedule

Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
Weekend requirements: 5 shifts in a 6-week period
Floating between units may be required based on staffing needs.

Patient Ratios

The expected nurse-to-patient ratios are between 1:3 to 1:5, depending on the unit's patient census and acuity levels.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Pediatric experience is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Additional Information

On-call duties may be required based on unit census.
No block scheduling is required for this position.
Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces, with additional facilities for bicycle parking.
Scrubs: Navy for all RNs, Galaxy Blue/Royal Blue for Respiratory Therapy staff.
