OMP Integration Solutions

Objective of roles and responsibilities: OMP Integration roles focus on bridging the gap between OMP's supply chain planning software (Unison Planning) and enterprise systems (such as SAP ECC/S/4HANA, Oracle, WMS) to ensure seamless, bi-directional data flow. These roles primarily involve technical implementation, data mapping, and API management.

Description of OMP integration (OPR/Client) roles:

• Configure OMP data entities, Master data mappings and interface settings to align with business processes and data models.
• Set up and maintain integration workflows within OMP and including inbound and outbound data interfaces, Mapping tables and transformation logic.
• Validate and test data flow configurations between OMP and SAP (ECC/S4HANA)
• Configure and manage OMP Advance Download Configurator.
• Design and maintain BAPI-based integrations between OMP and SAP to extract and update key planning data such as material master, stock levels, production orders, and demand signals.
• Support master data harmonization and configuration alignment across multiple OMP Environments (DEV, QA, and PROD).
• Maintain and document configuration standards, reusable templates, and integration best practices.

• Design and Implementation: Designing, developing, and configuring integration flows (e.g., using SOAP, REST, XML) and integration scripts.

• Data Mapping and Modeling: Designing and executing complex data mapping, data modeling, and data loading routines between OMP and ERP systems (e.g., SAP BAPI/RFC).

• Technical Analysis: Analyzing client business needs to create functional and technical design documents, ensuring data consistency and completeness.

• System Testing and Debugging: Performing unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to resolve bottlenecks.

• Maintenance and Support: Providing post-implementation support, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and incident resolution.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between IT, Supply Chain managers, and Project Managers to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Functional expertise in Advanced planning and Scheduling (Client) e.g., DRP, MPS, MRP and DPS/DS. Manufacturing planning and scheduling.

• Implementation and Deployment Experience: Active participation in OMP Implementation and Deployment cycle e.g., Early engagement, Business process and requirement gathering, Detailed Technical specifications and Functional documentations preparation for OMP solutions. Fit-Gap analysis, Localization, Configuration, Data migration, conducting various testing e.g., FUT, SIT, UAT. Defect log and resolved. Training to End users. Cutover plan, Go-Live, Hypercare approach, Bug fixing, conduct training sessions to support team and documentation for business continuity.

• Ensure the system stays stable and business continuity. Measure of performance, tuning, security in OMP solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to OMP solutions. Handle support team and resolve IT tickets, Monitoring Jobs and if error need to resolve and conduct RCCA. Incident management (Resolve ticket)

• OPM Implementation and Deployment and Incident management. OMP L2 & L3 Configuration - MU-Profile, Define user roles and responsibilities, Profile group, Dashboard, Context, Pyramids, Conflicts, Data manager profile and Batch Jobs profile, UTL dispatcher profile in all OMP environments (Dev/Test/Dry-Run and Production)

1. Technical Integration Skills

• ERP Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC (specifically modules like PP and MM) is critical.
• Protocols & APIs: Proficiency in communication protocols such as BAPI/RFC for SAP, as well as REST and SOAP web services.
• Middleware: Experience with integration platforms like SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) or SAP PI/PO.
• Database & ETL: Strong technical knowledge of SQL and ETL tools for data transformation and loading.
• Programming: OPAL language (OM Partners Application Language) for developing and customizing its supply chain planning and optimization solutions. manage data and create user interfaces within the OMP software ecosystem) Scripting and programming skills or basic programming for custom integration workflows.

2. OMP-Specific Technical Skills

• OMP Integrator: Expertise in configuring the OMP Integrator tool to manage bi-directional data flows between OMP and external systems like ERPs or MES. Responsible for data flow across CP and DP modules, ensuring accuracy from source systems to end planning environments. Troubleshooting integration issues and engaging with regional markets to provide tailored solutions.
• Data Modeling: Designing and executing Generic Data Models (GDM) and Local Data Models to ensure data stability and quality within the OMP environment. Data Manager and OMP UTL layer jobs configuration and Scheduling. Conducted hands-on validation of BW reports and OMP data; led end-user training for testing and adoption.
• OMP Namespace for SAP: Familiarity with OMP's proprietary SAP Namespace for seamless bi-directional connections. In-depth understanding of OMP functional areas including OPR, FCT, and integration workflows.
• Advanced Monitoring: Using OMP's built-in diagnostics and visualization tools to monitor data flow health and resolve integration "flaws". Expertise in Advanced Download Configurator, BAPI Configurator, OMP Dispatcher, Profile Manager, and Multi-User functionalities.

3. Functional & Domain Expertise

• Supply Chain Processes: In-depth understanding of Demand Management, S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning), and Operational Planning and Scheduling.
• Business Analysis: Ability to analyze customer needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications and integration workflows.
• Testing & Validation: UAT / SIT / UAT Developing and executing integration testing strategies, including writing test scripts and performing root cause analysis. Hands-on experience in designing, building, testing, debugging, deploying, and managing APIs and integrations.

Summary of roles and responsibilities: Data Modeling & Mapping: Designing and executing data flows between source systems (ERP) and OMP's Generic Data Model (GDM) or Local Data Model (LDM). Introduction to Integration: For understanding data movement, GDM, and LDM. Batch Jobs Configuration in OMP UTL layer and Testing, Scheduling as per business requirement. Data flows from sources system to Inbound, Out-bond and OMP application layers understanding. SAP Integration Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP-OMP integration, specifically using the OMP Namespace and Advanced Download Configurator (Client). SAP Integration. Deep knowledge of the OMP Namespace for SAP is a primary requirement. SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS). Communication Protocols: Proficiency in API-based technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and SAP-specific protocols like IDocs and Remote Function Calls (RFC). Experience with BAPI, RFC, and IDocs for data exchange. Middleware: Experience with middleware tools, such as SAP CPI (PI/PO). Familiarity with SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) or SAP PI/PO. Database Management: Experience with database technologies and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools. Data Integration & Scripting: Proficiency in writing integration scripts and designing automated. Advanced Download Configurator (Client): Handling the configuration for data extraction. Architect design and Implementation and who can lead full deployments lifecycle: Training, Mapping and Hypercare. Experience in OMP and SAP S/4HANA integration covering DPS/MPS/DRP setup, OPAL scripting, Solver configuration / Sover Tuning and API / middleware design (SAP PO / CPI) Supply Planning, Production Planning, Scheduling, Material Allocation.
