Summary Responsible for job costs, hiring key positions within the group, resolving all field issues and meeting project schedules. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Establish work plans and schedules Work closely with other Superintendents and owner’s representative to coordinate job schedule, changes and any construction issues that arise Work closely with other Superintendents to ensure all work complies with drawings and specifications Assist in reviewing project bids once a month Assist the Project Manager with the production of pay estimates and developing change orders Resolve all field construction issues Review, evaluate, and correct any daily cost, timesheets, truck, and equipment usage issues Team with Area Manager and other Superintendents in maintaining communication with unions and resolving jurisdictional disputes. Monitor employee compliance with safety program requirements and other company policies Create teamwork and communication between all disciplines of work in the area Qualifications Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of heavy highway/civil construction experience preferred Complete understanding of all field operations and construction methods for those operations Strong quantitative and analytical skills Exceptional organizational skills Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential Problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Self‑motivated; ability to work independently Good written and verbal communication skills Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer – It is the policy of Rieth-Riley to assure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their veteran status, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, color, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, citizen status, and/or any other applicable legally‑recognized protected class under local, state or federal law.
