Private Duty Caregiver
Safe and Sound Home Care is a family-owned business dedicated to helping the elderly and disabled live safely and independently at home. Our professional caregivers work one-on-one to assist clients with a variety of needs, including personal hygiene care, great companionship, meals, nutrition, and more. We are seeking dedicated, energetic, and ethical caregivers to join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personal care hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by tending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
Assist with mobility around the house or outside, including doctor's appointments and walks.
Plan and prepare meals.
Complete client shopping or accompany them on errands.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in case of an emergency.
Offer activities essential for daily living by assisting patients with meal preparation, including serving and other tasks as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to continuously learn new skills.
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Demonstrate a validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
Be available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
Have prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
Be willing to enforce safety standards.
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, or experience as a caregiver.
Take pride in providing high-quality care.
