Title: AI Software Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Salary Range: $180,000 – $280,000 + Equity

About the Opportunity

A high-growth AI cybersecurity startup is building next-generation defense systems to combat automated, AI-driven threats. Their platform uses autonomous agents to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities in complex enterprise environments—before attackers can exploit them.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship production-grade features across a distributed system
• Develop and improve AI-driven agent pipelines and ingestion systems
• Design resilient backend systems with real-world failure handling
• Contribute across the stack (APIs, infrastructure, data pipelines)
• Own features end-to-end—from concept to deployment
• Work directly with leadership and customers to solve complex problems

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of shipping complete systems end-to-end
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc.) in development workflows
• Strong understanding of distributed systems (retries, idempotency, failure handling)
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• High ownership mindset—self-directed and execution-focused

Nice To Have

• Experience with Temporal or similar distributed workflow systems
• Background in enterprise SaaS or multi-cloud environments
• Strong open-source or GitHub presence
